Meet Our Administrators
Superintendent Mrs. Perry received her
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Texas A&M
University. She then stayed home with her four sons for ten
years before returning to work as Bookkeeper / Secretary at
Saratoga School District. She says that she loved working at
Saratoga and learning about school finance. She received her
Masters Degree in Education Administration with an
endorsement as Chief School Business Official from Northern
Illinois University, and her Superintendent's Certificate
from Western Illinois University. She left Saratoga for four
years to work as Business Manager at Morris Elementary
District 54. Mrs. Perry says she feels fortunate to have
worked at both elementary districts in Morris. She thinks
Morris has a lot of excellent people working in the schools.
She looks forward to working together with the staff and
community as superintendent. Mrs. Perry thinks Morris is a
great place to raise kids and feels that although we are
doing a good job of educating our kids, we always need to
look at what we can do better. Principal/Curriculum
Coordinator Mr. Farmer is a graduate of
Illinois State University. He started his career at Saratoga
School as a fourth grade teacher. From there he moved to the
Junior High and also coached baseball and basketball until
becoming Principal. Baseball is his favorite sport and he is
a long time member of S.A.B.R., a group which helps the
Baseball Hall of Fame with research. He thinks that Saratoga
school is a special place because of the students and the
people that he has the privilege to work
with. Assistant Principal Mrs. Peterson is a graduate of
Northern Illinois University and Governors State University.
She spent the majority of her teaching career at Saratoga
School, first in the junior high and then as a fifth grade
teacher. Mrs. Peterson served as District 54
Athletic/Activities Coordinator until her return to Saratoga
as Assistant Principal in the 2004-2005 school year. Most of
her time away from school is spent enjoying various
activities with her three children. She considers Saratoga
School a place where children, parents, teachers, and
stakeholders work together to provide an atmosphere which
promotes learning, growth, and
friendship.
