Third Grade Technology Curriculum
Third grade is an important marker for elementary-aged children as they move from the primary to the intermediate grades. The classroom, with its focus on increased responsibility and independence, provides many opportunities for growth through technology.
Technical Awareness/Fundamentals
Demonstrate proper care of hardware and software
Demonstrate ability to gain access of programs from student work folder
Proficient use of the printer
Operate the internet with oral direction
Demonstrate ability to create a processed document
Increase knowledge of the computer keyboard
Identify the home row
Locate letters and numbers on the keyboard
Demonstrate knowledge of computer terminology
Instructional Application of Technology
Participate in a cooperative environment for learning
Utilize computers to enhance learning and accommodate different learning styles
Interact with a variety of software:
-Spellbound -Picture Phonics -Appleworks
