Sixth Grade Technology Curriculum

Sixth Grade is the first year of Junior High School. The students are experiencing increased responsibility and independence. They also have the chance to experience many new opportunities for learning.

Technical Awareness/Fundamentals

Save and retrieve work in the student work folder/Saving on student server Hawk

Demonstrate independent computer and printer use

Demonstrate knowledge of basic computer terminology

Demonstrate word processing skills

Demonstrate the ability to locate information on the internet

Demonstrate the ability to operate a CD-ROM

Demonstrate the ability to edit documents by cutting and pasting/Shortcuts

 

Instructional Application of Technology

Participate in a cooperative environment for learning

Utilize computers to improve typing skills
