After studying the standard units of measurement and the metric system of measurement the fifth grade math classes were assigned the metric quest web quest. The students were put into groups where they worked together to complete a concept map. The concept map was then used to help the groups decide whether or not the United States should metricate. Their final assignment was then to make a notice to the public about their groups final decision. The classes presented there notice to the classes and gave two reasons for their decisions.
